With nothing to play for Spurs went to Arsenal for the last game of the first phase on the 4th and won 2-1. In an open game, Spurs took an early lead when Eyoma scored with a header from a free kick by Patterson. The home side had more chances in the first half but Roles got a second scoring with a header from Patterson's cross. The gooners stepped up in the second half but could not beat Whiteman when they did get through the Spurs defence. It took a long range effort to beat Whiteman as the home side put Spurs under more pressure. Spurs held firm and could even have scored more before the end.

Spurs' second match was the first in the second phase with Stoke City the visitors to Hotspur Way on the 25th. The game finished 2-2. Due to Internationals Spurs fielded a weaker side than the visitors but were good enough to beat them only they could not find that killer goal. They were on top in the first half which saw Bennetts cross turned in by a defender and Reynolds getting the second having been set up by Sterling. Griffiths also hit a post as they looked for a third but a poor pass let Stoke back in before the break and they got a second against the run of play in the second half.

FA Youth Cup
The first leg of the semi-final was held at WHL on the 14th The visitors Chelsea put Spurs under intense pressure taking a two-goal lead in the first half. Spurs made changes and went on the attack. Thanks to Austin making vital saves to keep Chelsea out Spurs were kept in the game and Sterling even scored to make it close. He was put in by Duncan from 10 yds. Spurs had to survive a missed penalty and even went close before the end to keep the tie alive.

The second leg of the semi-final was held at Stamford Bridge on the 18th. This was much like the first with Chelsea on top. This time the goals flowed for them and they were 3-0 up at half time. Sterling won a penalty at 2-0 but his kick was saved while Chelsea scored from theirs at the end of the half. The blues grabbed another four goals in the second half. Spurs did pull one back when Griffiths effort was saved with Roles following up to put it away. Chelsea won 7-1 to go through 9-2 over the two legs. Spurs were overpowered by one of the top teams in the country who were ruthless giving few chances away.

The opening game of the month was a trip to Arsenal played at their training ground on the 3rd. It was a game of few chances with defences on top. The home side had most of the possession but the opening goal came from a mistake by Pritchard just before the break. Arsenal stepped up a gear in the second but could only get one more goal near the end as they pushed Spurs back. They should have had a third but Marsh's own goal was ruled out.

The second game was at Stevenage against bottom club Reading on the 13th. Onomah and Carter-Vickers were allowed to play which greatly strengthened the side. Once the team settled they took control of the game but the opening goal was a gift. Loft was given the ball in front of goal by a careless Reading pass to score. Edwards was pulling the strings setting up Tracey to hit the bar. Onomah carried the ball out of his own half playing a one-two before shooting through the keeper for the second. The third arrived a minute later when the keeper could not hold Brown's drive. Reading held out until the second half and even went on the attack. Tracey headed home Edwards corner before Miller won a penalty which he could not convert. Lopez had to make a couple of good saves before the final whistle to keep a clean sheet.
