The Football Manager Guide to Tottenham Hotspur: Part 3

The Unbeatables?

Unbeaten, 3 games down, 0 Losses. kay we had 2 draws, but still id consider this a successful start! The Start of the September run of games see us start at Home to Leicester, the champions of the Premier League. We then travel away to St. Jakobs Park, where we face Basel, then Barcelona and Borussia Monchengladbach. 3 Tough teams, and I believe that this could be a difficult group to get out of. We then face Liverpool home, which is swiftly followed by Rotherham in the EFL Cup. We face Chelsea away before playing at home at Wembley in Group A

So let’s get into the season, and see how we’ve done!

EPL – White Hart Lane – 10/09/2016

Well, this was a convincing win if I’ve ever seen won against the Champions. We also remain unbeaten which is even better! We had 4 different goal scorers here, Toby got off off the mark, with Dele following up, and Lamela after that. Harry Kane finished up with a penalty. What’s even better is that we dominated Leicester and we kept a clean sheet!

Champions League – St. Jakob-Park – 13/09/2016

Well, our return to Champions League football was different class. We ran Basel ragged in their own back yard, and boy was it great! Janssen stole the show scoring 4 out of the 6 goals. That man is proving his worth! Dembele and Son backed up with a goal each.

EPL – White Hart Lane – 17/09/2016

Well well well. This run is ongoing! So impressed with the Lads! This is a big win against a team under Klopp that will surely be up there at the end of the season. Overall we were the better team; and deserved the win. We went 1-0 down before GK and Kane rescued us in the 75th and 80th Minute to grab us that all important win and maintain our win streak!

EFL Cup – White Hart Lane – 20/09/2016

So I gave the kids a chance to impress here and they did a steady job. We got the win and a clean sheet, and progress to the next round where we will face West Ham Back to Back. Janssen scored as well as GK grabbing himself another goal. Both players proving useful.

EPL – Stamford Bridge – 24/09/2016

Well this was a turn-up for the books! What a great result! I thoroughly enjoyed the win, and we outplayed what is an extremely strong Chelsea team managed by their new man Antonio Conte. Harry Kane got a brace here with GK chipping in once again. Michy Batshuayi chipped in with a late consolation goal for Chelsea. This means we are now unbeaten in the Premier League with 4 wins and 2 draws! What a fantastic start!

UEFA Champions League – Wembley – 28/09/2016

Well, to start we filled out Wembley, all 90,000 seats. So that on its own is one achievement. However, this was the first loss in what had been an incredible start to the season for us! Luis Suarez scored directly after the half, meaning we suffered our first defeat of the season.

So, as you can see a great month was capped off with these awards that came our way! Harry Kane picked up Player of the month, with Toby not far behind him! Then Dele picked up Young Player of the month, again closely followed by Georges-Kevin Nkoudou. Finally, to top it off, I won manager of the month! So all in all, October has been a fantastic month for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

So we see ourselves in 2nd place, surprisingly behind West Ham (Remember guys this is a game, and will never, ever happen!) And again surprisingly we see Arsenal down in 10th (Although inside I couldn’t be happier!).

On a final note, we will see ourselves play West Ham in the 4th round of the EFL cup. They are storming the league and with this not being an important trophy, I will expect to field a young side.

That’s it from me. I will provide the next update when we will be in October, and hoping to continue our impressive and dominant unbeaten run in the premier league. Feel free to leave any comments and let me know you’re enjoying the series so far!
