Spurs started the month with a north London derby at Hotspur Way on the 1st. The Gooners came as league leaders which showed as they dominated the first half but Spurs went in with a lead thanks to Griffiths who scored from a cross by Shashoua in one of the few breaks they managed. In the second half which was more even the visitors scored twice to lead before Griffiths finished off good work by Duncan to equalise. The game turned on a typical bit of Gooner luck when the ref missed a foul and Spurs stopped allowing them to score. In the last minute with Spurs pushing for a goal the gunners broke to score with the last kick of the game to win 4-2.

Spurs' second game of the month was away to Leicester City. They always provide tough opposition and this was no different.Spurs new keeper had to make a save in the first minute but gradually Spurs gained the upper hand. After the foxes lost their keeper on the hour it was almost one way traffic with Sterling hitting a post. But it was not until added time due to the stoppage for treatment to the keeper that Spurs made the breakthrough. Tanganga headed in a corner and Bennetts scored when the stand-in keeper saved from Shashoua with the ball falling kindly for the Spurs winger.

Spurs' second game of the month was at home to Chelsea on the 22nd. The blues have had the better of Spurs over the recent years due to their spending power, but in this game they had no midfield. They sat back in a 4-4-2 looking to catch Spurs on the break. It worked as Spurs pushed players forward trying to pass their way through the Chelsea ranks. They took the lead from a corner but Spurs hit back quickly thanks to a goal from Shashoua who laid off the forward pass from Skipp to Duncan and scored from the return. Shashoua was close twice more in the half. Chelsea missed a penalty in the second half while Sterling had a one on one with the keeper which he fluffed. Shashoua also went close again but the game finished 1-1. It was two points missed against a club who have taken all the points for the last few years.

Spurs' last game of the month was against Brighton at Hotspur Way on the 29th. Spurs found their goal touch again against the lowly visitors scoring four goals in the first half allowing them to take off their only striker before the UEFA game in midweek. The opening goal came from Duncan converting a ball from Sterling. The second a great individual effort from Shashoua. Shashoua set up the third with a floated cross to the far post for Tanganga to head in before rounded off the goal rush by scoring his second from a free kick over the wall at the near post. Spurs kept the pressure on without adding to the score in the second half for a comfortable win.

UEFA Youth League
The third group match was on the 18th and was away to Bayer Leverkusen who had won one and lost one. They were currently the best in germany unbeaten in eight scoring 25 goals. It was a tough game in which Spurs matched them for much of the game even when under the pressure they put on them in the second half. Spurs took an early lead when Marsh played in Brown on the left to cross. Roles made the late run to score in front of the keeper. There were few chances in the first half but the germans stepped up a gear in the second putting Spurs under pressure which led to the equaliser. Oakley-Boothe hit the crossbar in response before they got a second turned in by Walkes for an own goal. Leverkusen got a third in added time from a disputed penalty to win 3-1.

Premier League 2
Spurs' first game of the month was played at WHL with Manchester City the visitors on the 14th. It did not go well for the home side going down 2-1. City opened the scoring after 5 minutes before Spurs began to get into the game with Loft doing well against the visitors defence. Spurs then had a setback when Loft was shown a straight red for a late tackle. Spurs actually looked better with ten men than eleven as they pushed forward. City won a penalty late in the first half which was saved by Whiteman diving to his right. City did get a second early in the second but Spurs hit back with a penalty of their own won by Georgiou that was scored by Harrison. Spurs could not get that second goal before the final whistle.

Spurs second match was away to Leicester City on the 24th. At the King Power stadium. Spurs started well putting the home side under pressure but failed to really trouble the keeper. It did force Leicester to change their formation which saw them counter and give Austin work to do. At the beginning of the second half Spurs did have chances but gradually the foxes got on top and scored two late goals. Spurs finished the game playing three at the back trying to get a goal.

Spurs' last match of the month was on Friday 28th at Hotspur Way when the visitors were Manchester United. Spurs put the visitors under pressure from the start but were always prone to a counter attack. They pinned United in their own half for 20 minutes before United went ahead with their first attack from a ball over the top catching Spurs out. Spurs were back on equal terms when Georgiou crossed for Goddard to hit. His effort was blocked but Harrison fired in the loose ball. The game became more open but Spurs always looked the better and most likely to score. Both keepers had to make good saves to keep the score at 1-1. The draw ends a run of five defeats and gives hope for the next game which is against the Gooners.
